Lucipede confuses opponents with both its bizarre appearance and its disorienting psychic field. Even the most experienced researchers cannot precisely determine which side of this Pokemon should point upwards, even after years of study, as it seems capable of walking on both its stiff spines and its tentacles.

INVERTIGO
Hallucination Pokemon
Type: Rock/Psychic
Ability: Own Tempo, Disorient

Normally a docile scavenger, when threatened Invertigo can create bizarre, vivid hallucinations to confuse and terrify its enemies. The spikes on its back not only offer protection, they also serve as "antennae" to amplify its psychic energy.

This is a brilliant idea for a pokemon. Of course Hallucigenia would be part psychic type with that name! And like ScytheMantis, I too love that it evolves by flipping over.
