Short desc.: This is the Trikkotreet. He eats children.

Long desc.: This is what happens when I am bored and have nothing to amuse myself besides a cheap pen and some sticky notes. But anywho. Here's a critter I lazily doodled one day, and liked it enough to make a big picture of it and post it here.

Bio: According to popular legend, the Trikkotreet is said to wander the streets every Halloween night, searching for young trick-or-treaters who have lost their way. It lures potential victims with its irresistible candy-like features: legs like pixie sticks, teeth like candy corn, a tongue like licorice and a growth on the tip of its tongue resembling a peppermint. It is speculated that the eye on the tip of its "stalk" is its true eye, and that its innocent looking "face" is just an illusion used to lure victims into a false sense of security. Exactly what it does with its victims is unknown, but one can be certain it isn't anything pleasant, which is why children are urged to stay in well-lit areas on Halloween night in places where the Trikkotreet is known to live.

Oddly enough, this creature has a reputation of being quite a coward and a crybaby, fleeing in terror at the sight of a particularly scary costume. For this reason, children love making their costumes as gruesome and frightening as possible, and some of the more daring (or foolish) kids even like to hunt down wandering Trikkotreets and try to scare them in order to test how scary their costumes really are.

Many attempts have been made to capture a live Trikkotreet and study it up close, but so far the creature has proven to be nearly impossible to catch - it seems the only thing it fears more than a child in a costume is a full-grown adult, and for something with powder-filled straws for legs, it sure can run fast!
